This policy explains what happens to information when you use DownloadRedgifs. The short version: there are no accounts, we don’t ask for personal details, and we don’t keep the videos you download.
Information we don’t collect
- No name, email address or account. The site has no sign-up.
- No payment details. The tool is free.
- No copy of the videos you download. The site does not host or store any video.
Information that is processed
The link you paste. It is sent to our server so we can look the video up on Redgifs. We use it only to answer that request.
Technical request data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit abuse.
Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It records pages viewed, the site you came from, device and browser type, and approximate location. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise repeat visits, but only after you click OK in the small notice at the bottom of the page. If you click No thanks, or ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set and Google receives only basic visit signals without cookies. Your choice is kept in your browser’s storage; clear the site data to see the notice again. We use these figures only in aggregate, to improve the site. The link you paste is not sent to Google Analytics.
Third parties
Cloudflare. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes the technical request data above on our behalf.
Google. Google Analytics is provided by Google, which processes the visit statistics above. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker; the downloader works the same either way.
Redgifs. Our server contacts Redgifs to find the video you asked for. The preview image and preview video in the result are loaded by your browser directly from Redgifs, so Redgifs receives your IP address for those, the same as if you visited Redgifs.
Advertising. The site may show ads in future. Advertising providers can use cookies or similar technology. We will update this policy with the details before any ads are switched on.
Age
This site is for adults only. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use it.
Your choices
You can use the site without giving us any personal information. You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
